Don’t say goodbye, I will miss you!
Time sure does fly, doesn’t it? A good friend of mine has left Australia to go back to Japan today! Airi was an exchange student here to learn more English, and I can’t believe that she has left already! I’m really glad I met her, I learnt more about Japan and had a great time studying Korean with her! It’s a little odd though, instead of focusing on learning English we instead, mainly spent time learning Korean. haha. I’ll really miss her presence lol.
She was here for about a year, and wow time does fly! I’m really happy to see that her English has greatly improved, even though there is always room for improvement she has definitely improved to a large extent! Particularly with her confidence when speaking, she is much more confident with her English now compared to before. Which is great! She has also learnt quite a number of expressions. It’s really funny how she named me her “Personal translator” as she said I could understand her ‘Japanese English’ haha. I wish I were a translator! I hope I did something helpful for her, and I hope she will continue to improve!
I’m so happy that I met her, it was a great experience. Not only did we become friends, she is probably also one of my influences on learning the Korean language. I guess, in a way, she exposed the Asian side of things and language a little more (If that makes any sense xD).
It’s so sad (? – But also good in a way!) that time has flown by so-so quickly! I still can’t believe it, maybe that’s why I don’t feel very teary. I can’t believe it haha. I will definitely miss her, I will have to get used to not eating with her in Korean restaurants anymore. ;_;
You’re probably a few hours into your flight to Tokyo by now. There were so many other nicer, better schools to do your exchange student experience in…thank you Airi for coming here. With your visit, I have learnt a lot, not only about your culture but many other things as well. It is really interesting to notice someone improve in language! My love for food has grown more during this year too haha, thank you for making me appreciate food more. I must visit Japan someday! I want to
try eat many Japanese foods!
Awww ahaha I really will miss her and her funnyness! I still can’t believe it. I’m still thinking, “Oh yeah, I’ll see you tomorrow!” but no, sadly, that’s not the case anymore haha. ;_; It’s so sad saying goodbye. Especially saying goodbye to someone who you are used to seeing like everyday and just meeting up in 20 minutes at a station to go somewhere, to see them suddenly disappear to the higher part of the globe, 9 or so hours away haha. Some place quite far while you’re stuck all the way down the bottom. 20 minutes, all the way up to 9 hours! A bus ride away, to a plane ride away. ㅠㅠ
Hopefully I can meet her again someday. ^^
